My Kamishibai
What is Kamishibai?
Kamishibai (usually shorted to kami by me and other authors) is an old Japanese
story telling tradition from around the time of WW II. Traditionally, the
Kamishibai story teller would ride from town to town on a bicycle. Equipped
with a small stage for showing the story cards, he would enter a village or
neighborhood, dismount and loudly strike together two wooden clappers, sell
candy and tell a story for free. Well Otaku
World has adapted this wonderful story medium into an electronic form.
